Eyeliner

Both ancient and modern chemists and cosmetologists alike tried to find ways to dramatically enhance the eyes through eyeliners shapes and colors.

• Early 10,000 BC Egyptians– Ancient Egyptians donned various cosmetics not only for aesthetics but to protect the skin from the scorching desert sun.
• 40’s- The face of the war era woman was clean and simple where very little if any eyeliner was worn around the eyes, the shortage of items during the World War I led to an interesting use of eyeliner.
• 60’s – In this era there was the invention of liquid eyeliner and it was applied to create thick black lines around the eyes in the fashion industry& the reemergence of the cat eye
• Today- Now eyeliner is commonplace, and you will find it in a variety of colors and applications. Men and women add it to their daily makeup routines. You will also find it used liberally as an artistic expression of statement for gothic and emo styles.

EyeLash Line Enhancement – A soft subtle Eyeline procedure will open up the eye, giving a younger vibrant look, whilst giving the illusion of fuller lashes. This procedure mimics thousands of single lashes while creating a full and youthful lash line.

Every-Day Eyeliner – This a standard upper and lower eyeliner procedure where you select the color, length, and thickness similar to what you have grown accustom to through the years of doing your own makeup.

Thin Eyeliner– For those looking for a more natural look but providing the boldness of a line. Works great for men or woman who don’t wear a lot of makeup.

Upper Eyeliner– This procedure is usually tapered inward to the inner eye &thicker on the outer portion of the eye. It starts at the lash lineand depending on the thickness preferred by the client a little above that line.With it partly in the lash line, it will not appear as thick.

Lower EyeLiner - A line that runs along the lower LashLine. That will be thicker and darker on the outer part of the eye, tapering in thinner and softening toward the nose.

• Wear your normal makeup and bring your brow pencils to the office on the day of the procedure
• Do not wear contact lenses during or immediately following the eyeliner procedure. Remember to bring your glasses.
• Any tweezing or waxing should be done at least 48 hours prior to the procedure; electrolysis no less than five days before. Do not resume any method of hair removal for at least two weeks.
• Refrain from the use of alcohol, aspirin, aspirin-containing medications, ibuprofen, or other blood-thinning medications for seven days before and two days after any procedure.
• All permanent cosmetic procedures are multi-session processes. It will require at least one touch-up visit before it can be determined that your work is complete.
• Touch-up visits are scheduled at 4 to 6-week intervals or longer.
• Following the eyeliner procedures, as a safety precaution, we recommend you have someone available to accompany you or drive you home.
• Healing Time Ranges: Mild Soreness 1-2 days, Flaking 2-3 weeks and Full Healing 4-6 weeks.

• Sleeping slightly elevated helps alleviate swelling sometimes seen the morning after facial procedures.
• Ice packs protected with a cloth may be applied as necessary to reduce swelling.
• Wash your hands before touching any treated area.
• Apply recommended healing agents sparingly.
• Wearing glasses outdoors is a good way to protect new eyeliner from dust, etc... that can stick to healing agents
• After any eyeliner procedure, use new mascara. Do not use an eyelash curler for two weeks.
• Do not expose your healing skin to direct sun, tanning beds, hot tubs, saunas, salt water, chlorinated pools, direct shower spray, hot water, skin creams, ointments, or lotions other than what you have been instructed to use for 2 weeks following your procedure.
